Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Equilibrium different from other personal training services?

Equilibrium specializes in evidence based functional training for adults 40+, focusing on posture, mobility, strength, balance, and long term joint health - not surface level quick fixes. Read more about our Method here.

Who do you typically work with?

Most of our clients are professionals, active adults, or those navigating joint pain, stiffness, injury history, or age related changes.

Do I need to be in shape before starting?

Not at all. Programs are tailored to your current ability, movement patterns, and limitations. You’ll be guided safely from day one.

What type of programs do you offer?

Equilibrium offers 1-on-1 training, virtual training, and small group training. Read more about our Programs here.

I have joint pain or past injuries. Can I still train?

Absolutely. Equilibrium specializes in corrective exercise, biomechanics, and supportive strength training for individuals with joint issues, pain, or movement limitations. All clients are advised to consult with their doctor prior to participating in an exercise program, especially if they have medical concerns or existing conditions. Together, we’ll create a safe, personalized plan that supports your healing and long term strength.

Where do sessions take place?

In person training takes place in Tampa, FL. For our remote clients, training takes place virtually over Zoom.

How often should I train each week?

Each 12-Week Program includes 36 total sessions, giving you the flexibility to train at a pace that fits your lifestyle. Most clients choose 2-3 sessions per week, but you’re welcome to train more or less often depending on your goals, schedule, and recovery needs. Your trainer will help you determine the ideal frequency to support consistent progress.

Once you reach the Readiness Program, training frequency becomes completely flexible. You can schedule sessions on an “as needed” basis - whether that means weekly support, monthly tune ups, or occasional check ins to help you keep progressing independently.

What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a session charge.

How quickly will I feel results?

Most clients notice improvements in posture, stability, energy, and strength within the first 2-4 weeks when training 3x/week, and continue seeing progress throughout the programs.
